Time to Quit Smoking?

Quit Smoking

If you're a smoker, I'm sure you'll be able to think of plenty of reasons why you should quit. Maybe you have shortness of breath, other serious health issues or know someone who has lost their life to cigarettes. Maybe you're sick of being nagged, or you just don't like that part of yourself. Maybe you're just sick of watching your hard earned money burn in your hands.

With all of the will and the good reasons in the world, it should be easy to stop right? And yet you still do it, perhaps even enjoy it. Perhaps you've tried to quit in the past and perhaps it even worked for a while, but then that cunning cigarette lured you back.

Why is it so hard to quit on my own?

Quitting on your own IS hard because you're dealing with the subconscious mind which, once upon a time, decided that smoking was good for you. It made you feel rebellious, your friends did it, it was cool. Or perhaps it relieved stress or helped you cope in certain situations. When we do something once and it's good, we do it again, and again and before we know it a habit is formed.

So then when you make a conscious decision to stop, there's a part of you that tries to defy you and undermine your best efforts because IT still thinks that smoking is GOOD for you. Smoking has ingrained itself so deeply into your life that it seems impossible to imagine your morning coffee, your breaks at work or drinks with friends without a cigarette in your hand. You can use all of your willpower to resist, but the cravings and self talk will encourage you that one more can't hurt and its easy to give in.

Hypnosis is 3 x as effective as NRT*

Unlike traditional stop smoking aids, which work to suppress the craving, hypnosis works directly with the subconscious, which is where the habit resides.

You have total control at all times, but by allowing yourself to completely relax, all of your reasons for wanting to stop actually reach that part of you that is holding on to that habit and instead of the battle that you repeatedly lose, you're able to take a stand and make the right choices that serve you and your wellbeing in the long term.

I am based in Carine, Perth and tell all my prospective clients that if you're truly committed to quit, a single two hour session could be all that stands in the way of you becoming a non smoker. No cravings, no substitutes. It just becomes something that you used to do, but has no part in your life any more.

Quit Smoking

This could be you:

"I cannot recommend more highly enough Kath's services. I saw Kath 6 weeks ago tomorrow to quit smoking! At 38 years of age & being a "social smoker" (whilst drinking) for the last 11 years. I had finally decided it was time to quit once & for all as I noticed that smoking was controlling everything I did. It consumed my family time, my thoughts, my dreams, where I went & who I saw! I also found I was drinking daily & clock watching 5 pm for a glass of wine & (3 quick cigarettes which would then turn into 10).

I now comfortably say I do not smoke to people when they ask. I don't feel like one, I don't crave one, I had no withdrawal symptoms in fact I feel like I have never smoked. I know I did, I wish I had done this years ago. I can only put this all down to Kath & her expertise, attention to detail & the hypnotherapy session I partook in."
